Title: “Easy as 1,2,3”
Scripture: Genesis 19:27, Matthew 6:33-34, Matthew 7

Genesis 19:27 Now Abraham arose early in the morning and went to the place where he stood before the Lord.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you. 34 Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given; seek and you will find; knock and it shall be opened to you.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

You can see through scripture a pattern, pathway and guidance system today. You live in a perpetually wicked world, one that is always trying to drag you into its nasty mess. The world wants you to stay stuck in the mud like a pig who can’t get out of the pen. The way to stay free from the ways of the wicked is to follow this basic bath.

Application: What will I do about it?

1️⃣ Like Abraham, make it a regular practice to go to a place where you regularly stand or sit with the Lord. (This is a special and specific time set aside to be with God away from all distractions.)
2️⃣Seek God more than anything else and before anything else, casting your anxiety on Him through prayer. This will allow you to handle each day's troubles one day at a time.
3️⃣ Persistently seek God through prayer. Keep on asking, seeking and knocking. Don’t run your mouth to the world around you about all the sacred and holy things God has been promising you. Instead, persistently bring them before God in prayer.
Bonus # 4️⃣ Matthew 7:24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house upon the rock. —- 1.Sit 2.Seek 3.Pray 4.Play

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, awaken our hearts, minds and will to want to chase You more than the world. Put a nasty taste in our mouths every time we taste of the world's wicked fruit. Cause the ways of the world to be distasteful to us so we have clear guardrails to lead us toward you. You are sweet to the taste and satisfy all that we need. We love You Jesus. Amen
