Title: “Firmly Planted”

Scripture: Psalm 1
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

I am your Heavenly Father, Who makes a Way for you through the challenges of this life. I instruct you through My Holy Spirit to teach You how to be rooted in a place where you will prosper. Learn to delight in Me. Listen to My Spirit and learn from Me. Plant yourself in My words, give attention to them constantly. I whisper in your ear more than you realize.

When you root in My words you will prosper. You will bear fruit that lasts. You will thrive under my care and my council. You will never lack for anything and whatever you do will prosper. I am the Way, walk with Me.

Application: What will I do about it?

It’s easy to fall prey to distraction in a world of shiny objects. It’s easy to lose our way because we lose track of what matters most. The most important thing for us to do is spend time with the Holy Spirit. We call that “Sitting with the Spirit.” It’s the one thing that changes everything. It is getting and staying connected to the limitless Power Source. To be a Spirit Tracker we must root ourselves in the Word, Worship and Prayer. This is where we find our ultimate delight.

Today, let's make a commitment to delight in the Lord and get into the Lord more than ever before!

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I declare that I am rooted in You. You are my delight. I am Your student, You are my Master Trainer. I commit to becoming a Spirit Tracker with all of my heart today. I want to be into You as much as You are into me. Thank You God for making this possible through Jesus! Amen.
