Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Pray in the Promise”

Scripture: Genesis 25:21

And Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord answered him and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Abraham and Isaac were both promised that their descendants would be as numerous as the sand on the shore. They had to trust Me (the Lord) and pray the promise into existence. Both of their wives were barren, no matter how much they tried to have a child they could not do it on their own. I, the Lord, had to remove the barrenness and make them fruitful. Abraham and Isaac had a job to do and you do too. Walk in deep faith and trust that what the Lord promised you will come to pass and PRAY IN THE PROMISE. If you want to see the promise come to pass, diligently pray until you see it exists.

Application: What will I do about it?

Prayer is the ignition switch. Prayer activates faith. Don’t just stand by and do nothing. Get your faith inline with your mind and mouth. Lift up your voice in prayer, expect God’s perfect timing for the promise.

Prayer:

Holy God, Your timing is perfect. You are shaping our faith as we wait, watch and pray with expectant hearts. Holy Spirit, if You said it, we believe it! Amen
