Title: “Freedom to Give 💸”

Scripture: Proverbs 3:9-10

Honor the Lord from your wealth, and from the first of all your produce;
So that your barns may be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

When you honor someone, you give “credit” to whom it is due. Where your treasure is, is where your heart is. What you spend your money on shows what you have in your heart. When you choose to honor Me through your financial wealth with the first and the best of what I give you, I see your heart and honor your heart. I bless those I can trust with more. When you are faithful with little you will be faithful with much. Start small but start now. Overflow is found through aligning your wealth with My words.

Application: What will I do about it?

Make a fresh commitment to honoring God from the first and best of all financial wealth. Give to the Lord what is due to His name first, not with the leftovers. Give financial credit where credit is due. If we want freedom to give generously we need to align our hearts with God's formula for life and wealth.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, You have given the best of yourself. You defeated death, stripping it of power and effect over our lives. Help us to lean into your gift of overflow now and forever. Spirit of lack, poverty and scarcity, be gone in the name of Jesus. You have no power over us. Amen
