Title: “Stay and Pray”

Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

11 To this end also we pray for you always that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power; 12 in order that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

What does it mean to “find your call and make life count” to you?
I have planted desires for goodness in your heart and I want to see these works accomplished through faith and power. I will increase your faith and increase the power that works through faith as you align your motivations with Mine. This is when all your dreams come true! What this will do is bring glory to Me and glory to you. This world does not want to give credit where credit is due. Many would rather take credit than give credit. Not you! You know better. Keep praying and staying close to Me. Let My heart mesh with your heart. Your desires for goodness will be fulfilled, the works of faith you desire will take place with power and the result will be glory for Me and all those who are with Me.

Application: What will I do about it?

When we do our part, which is to stay close to Jesus, He works in us, around us and through us. That is when every desire for goodness is fulfilled. We must stay and pray. Prayer isn’t formal, it's just conversation with the Creator, the Lover of our souls. Today we must stay and pray.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You that You want to keep us close. Closeness with You is the only place we find peace. Teach us to be responsive to your desires, to be quick to listen and act on what you show us as we stay and pray.

I Am Grateful For… a loving God who doesn’t push us away, One who clears the path and wants to spend time with us.
