Title: “Great Turnaround” 

Scripture: Jeremiah 29:7 

Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper. 

Note: This passage ⬆️was written to people who were stuck in a land they did not want to be. The land they were in was due to consequences of not listening to God. This scripture is what God wanted them to do even in a land they did not want to be. 

Observation: What is God saying to me? 

When you yield your life to Me, I will make sure you are positioned where I want you to be. You can choose to go down roads I don’t want you to go down. You can choose to follow your own path. It will never lead to the satisfied life I have designed for you. When you go down the wrong path and you learn your lesson, you can experience a GREAT TURNAROUND.

When you turn around, even when you are in a land that you no longer want to be, I will use you to be a blessing right where you are. No matter what land you are living or how you arrived there, “seek the peace and prosperity of the place I have sent you. In its peace and prosperity, you too will have peace and prosperity.” 

Application: What will I do about it?   

It is time to bless the city, town and community in a greater way. It doesn’t matter how we arrived where we are. What matters is what we do with what we have where we are today. We are created to be people who bless those around us. Today we need to ask the Holy Spirit to clarify our call to be a blessing and show us how to be a blessing to those around us in a greater way.  

Prayer: 

Lord, we desire peace and prosperity as your scriptures teach. You have shown us that this comes through our hearts being yielded to You. Forgive us for the times we have gone astray, lead us back to Your heart and way once again today. Lord Bless, prosper and bring peace to the place we live,  in Jesus Name!
