Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Your Actual Voice”

Scripture: Psalm 107:5-7

They were hungry and thirsty; Their soul fainted within them.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses. He also led them by a straight way, to go to a habitable city.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Hunger and thirst will cause you to cry out! Sometimes you lose your way, you end up in a place of distress, struggle and strain, not knowing what to do and where to go. Wandering aimlessly can bring you to a place of desperation where you decide to cry out to Me. I hear your cry and I always answer My children when they call.

Application: What will I do about it?

We must remember to cry out to the Lord continually. We shouldn’t wait until we are lost and wandering aimlessly to lift up our voices and ask for help. But reality says differently. All of us can relate to this Psalm because everyone of us has landed in places of distress due to disconnection from God. Here’s the 🔑key…. Connection comes from crying out and lifting our voices in prayer. No matter how long it’s been, lift up your actual voice today and ask the Father for help.

Prayer:

Father God, You have given us everything we need to follow You. You have sent Your Holy Spirit into our hearts and You have renewed our minds. We ask You today to guide us and keep us on the right path. In Jesus’ name.

I Am Grateful For… the One who hears my cry!
