Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “The Living Word”

Scripture: 1 Peter 1:23 and Psalm 119:38

For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable through the living and enduring word of God.

Establish Your word to me as that which produces reverence for You.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

My words are a key that produces good in you. Through My word you have been born again. Through My word you are no longer perishable. My word produces new life in you and my word produces respect for Me. I made the heavens and earth and did it through the spoken word. The Bible shows you My ways and teaches you My character. Do not read the word to know the Bible, read the Bible to get to know Me, Jesus, the Living Word. I speak to you in whispers. When you hear My whispers and see the result of the activated word in your life, it produces more faith, love and respect between us. Faith comes through hearing My voice, hearing comes by getting to know Me, The Living Word.

Application: What will I do about it?

We must allow the Lord to teach us what His voice sounds like. We do this through being attentive, awake and on the wall. “On the wall,” is another way of saying, on the task God has commissioned us to and not distracted.
Satan wants to steal our attention by getting our eyes fixed on shiny things. God is saying, don’t take the bait, stay on the wall and focus on My voice.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, continue to speak to us. Activate and enable us to stay on the wall you have called us to build. For those who do not know how to hear Your voice, give them a passion and open their ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying. In Jesus’ Name! Amen.
