Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Flame of Hope”

Scripture: Psalm 119:81-82

My soul languishes and grows weak for Your salvation; I wait for Your word.
My eyes fail [with longing, watching] for [the fulfillment of] Your promise,
Saying, “When will You comfort me?”

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Your longing for Me is deep. I have placed that longing in your heart and am teaching you that nothing else will satisfy this deep hunger. You have sought to fill this desire with everything other than Me. I am teaching you that only I can satisfy this longing.

Shift your attention to My word. What have I spoken to you about? If you do not know what I have spoken to you, how will you act on what I said? With a single word I can cause all favor to shift. Long deeply for satisfaction from the Lit Words that I speak. Proverbs 13:12 Hope [joyful anticipation of good] lost makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.

I am your only hope. I will bring joyful expectation of good back to your life. Do not place trust in anything other than Me and My word to you. My promises will be fulfilled through My word at the perfect time. Simply put your trust in Me and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit will be your guide.

Application: What will I do about it?

Today let’s fan the flame of hope, with joyful anticipation, expect the goodness of God. Pray, declare, think back on the testimonies and stories of God’s goodness. Stand on the promises. Be bold as lions, innocent as doves, shrewd as snakes and soar like eagles.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, ignite a flame of hope that no opposition can snuff out. Bring a God-Fident expectation to our lives, right now! In Jesus Name! Amen
