Title: “Highest Calling”

Scripture: Proverbs 28:19

He who tills his land will have plenty of food, but he who follows empty pursuits will have poverty in plenty.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

I never leave you lost with no way to go. You may come to places of your life that seem hopeless, but I always have a way for you. You just have to seek Me to discover what it is. Following empty pursuits will lead you to the end of your rope. Empty pursuits will lead you to lack, poverty and destruction. If you find yourself there, do not give up. Right around the corner is another way. If you get on the path I have created for you then you will have all that you need. If you don’t have it right now, you don’t need it right now. If you make an adjustment and pivot from empty pursuits, as you align with My Spirit and learn the lessons I am trying to teach you, resources from heaven will show up to help you impact the world around you. He who works the land I have given, will have plenty on food!

Application: What will I do about it?

Evaluate your heart, mind and motives today. Aligning with God’s pursuits is what will bring ultimate satisfaction to your life. If you are a follower of Jesus then you are commissioned to make disciples of Jesus. Does what you spend your time and energy on align with this commission?

Prayer:

Lord, we want to be aligned with You, working the land You have given us and helping people overcome darkness through finding intimate relationship with You. Cause this passion to be our highest calling and pursuit, in Jesus’ name! Amen
