Title: “Hunger to Hear”

Scripture: Psalm 143:8

Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Child, My voice should be the craving and deepest desire of your innermost being. Long for it, yearn for it, listen for it, be captivated by it as if your life depends on it. Without hearing from Me and experiencing My lovingkindness you will eventually dry up. My voice sustains you because it is the delivery system for My love. When you hear My voice you experience lovingkindness. Through this communication, I will teach you the way in which you should walk. Lift up your soul to Me continually and watch as your next right steps unfold before your eyes.

Application: What will I do about it?

Cry out with your voice and watch as your hunger increases. Don’t contain your hunger to the inside only, let the hunger come out of your mouth as well. The Psalmist wrote and declared his thoughts for many to read. Many have read these thoughts and have been encouraged by these words over thousands of years. Write, read and declare your hunger to hear the lovingkindness of God.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, plant a hunger inside us to hear Your voice. More than any other desire, give us a longing to be in relationship with You. Real relationships have communication. Help us to hear so we can reply with communication back to You that pleases Your heart and guides our steps. Amen
