Title: “Do You Recognize?”

Scripture: John 20:14,16
14 When she had said this, she turned around, and beheld Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus.
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned around and said to Him, “Teacher!”

Observation: What is God saying to me?
Mary didn’t recognize she was in the presence of Jesus until Jesus called her by name. This passage made me wonder how many times Jesus is right in front of our faces and we miss it too. Like Mary, I want to be in the presence of Jesus and respond when He calls my name.

Application: What will I do about it?
When invited, Jesus becomes the center of our interactions and conversations. He steps in and interacts with us in the basic moments of life. I want to look for Jesus in the little moments today, recognizing Him as He allows me to.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I know you are always with me and working in the middle of life's simple moments. Help me to recognize what you are doing around me today. In Jesus Name! Amen.

I Am Grateful For… Jesus interacting with me in the simple moments.
