Neal’s Lit Word
Title: “Beacon in the Night”
Scripture: Psalm 43:3
O send out thy light and thy truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to thy holy hill, and to thy dwelling places.
Observation: What is God saying to me?
Like a lighthouse to a ship, like a beacon in the night, God’s light shines in dark places to guide us to His divine destination. From places of darkness cry out for His guiding light. When you need to find your way from places of depression and despair, ask the Lord to send out His light and truth. Jesus is the light of the world.
Application: What will I do about it?
The light has a name. Jesus is alive and when called upon answers with sending out light. You do not have to wander in darkness seeking how to find your way with no ability to see. Instead, stop where you are and cry out to Jesus who will send out His light and lead you to the place where He wants you to be. He will lead you to where He is so that you continually reside in the light. Crying out to Jesus is always the answer. If a child you loved was crying out for help, you would never ignore their cry. He won’t ignore your cry either.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for showing my family time and time again where our help comes from. You are our ever present help both in times of need and in times of plenty. You are our life source. You are our light! Thank You Lord!
