Title: “The Burden You Carry”
Scripture: Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Observation: What is God saying to me?
Child, I hear the cry of your heart. The burden you carry isn’t one I am asking you to carry on your own. I will lift it from your shoulders, but I need you to be willing to let it go. When waves of struggle come upon let Me handle your hurt. Open up your heart and do some soul searching. Don’t search as one who cannot see, instead allow My light to shine in the spaces of your pain pointing out where I want you to direct your energy.
Application: What will I do about it?
The Lord sustains me through life's battles. His way is light and easy. He is asking for my willingness to partner in rest and trust. He requires that I don’t take the easy way out, instead He invites me to follow Him in a path I can’t walk alone. When the way looks impossible, God will open doors that I could never open on my own. Purge the system. Heart, mind, soul, as well as physical spaces we live and work. Commit to physical cleansing and purging of the body as well.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, You sustain this wandering child and place me on a path of peace and prosperity of spirit. I know you are the Way. I want your way, not mine, in Jesus’ Name.
I Am Grateful For… a continual call from the Spirit to follow Him.
