Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Trials to Trust”

Scripture: Psalm 51:10-13

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Thy presence, and do not take Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Thy ways (paths, tracks), and sinners will be converted to Thee.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

I will create, renew, restore and sustain you as you turn to Me in truth, recognizing your deep need for Me. When you arrive at a place of desperate truth that leads to desperate trust you arrive at a place of safety, confidence and protection. I will empower you through humility and trust to do all that I have placed in your heart. Apart from Me you can do nothing, with Me you can scale a wall.

Application: What will I do about it?

Continue to fast, pray and take captive every thought bringing it to Christ as a filter for validity. Jesus said, “Come to Me all who are weary and heavy burdened and you will find rest for your souls.” Today, I cast my cares and concerns at the feet of Jesus and seek to stay planted in His presence all day long. Lead Lord, I am listening.

Prayer:

Jesus, You alone are worthy to be praised and followed to the ends of the earth. Wherever you lead, it is worth the journey. Thank you for allowing me to walk a road of trial and struggle and thank you for turning those trials to trust through your Spirit’s guidance. Amen.

I Am Grateful For… trials that lead to trust
