Title: “Never Forget (4/9/11)”

Scripture: Joshua 4:21-24

21 He said to the sons of Israel, “When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, ‘What are these stones?’ 22 Then you shall inform your children, saying, ‘Israel crossed this Jordan on dry ground.’ 23 For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed, just as the Lord your God had done to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed; 24 that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, so that you may fear the Lord your God forever.”

Observation: What is God saying to me?

I want the story we are writing together to be a story worth telling. When you follow Me, I will lead you through obstacles and circumstances that will prove My hand has been your guide. Not only do you need to remember and recall the story in your own mind but you also need to tell those who are walking this life with you these stories. Then when hard times come or situations show up that challenge your faith you can stand on the fact that it was Me who brought you to where you are. These miracles will become the memories that will open the faith for more miracles to overcome your current mountains.

Application: What will I do about it?

April 9th, 2011 (4/9/11) is a miraculous memorial day for my family and friends. Today I will remind family and friends of God's favor, faithfulness and the miracles that lead us to where we are today. Never forget!

Prayer:

Jesus, You are our faithful friend who never leaves us. You have been guiding, training and testing us all these years. You have always proven to be faithful. Today, I celebrate that faithfulness and I will tell of your faithfulness. At a moment's notice, you turn mountains to molehills. I celebrate your timing and thank you for teaching me and my family to trust you more each day. Amen.
