Title: “Confess for Freedom”

Scripture: Joshua 7:19

19 Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I implore you, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give praise to Him; and tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me.”

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Child, you don’t have to hide. My grace is sufficient for you. You live in the time of my grace, but don’t mistake My kindness for weakness. I do not tolerate hiding, it eventually catches up with you. Get honest and do not fear. Truth will set you free. When you come to Me in confession and honesty I will show you love and compassion. The enemy wants you to think that I will come down hard on you. This is not that season. Now is the season for salvation by grace through faith. Have faith and step out in honesty and watch as I set you free.

Application: What will I do about it?

I will lead through a lens of love and grace and encourage people to step into freedom by confessing their sin to the Lord and to a trusted friend.

Prayer:

Lord, help us to see how much you love us. Help us to see the power of confession and the freedom that comes from being honest with ourselves, You and someone we trust. Set your people free from the shame of hiding. In Jesus Name… Amen.

I Am Grateful For… grace that covers our sin.
