Title: “Remember and Relay”

Scripture:

Judges 2:10 All that generation also were gathered to their fathers; and there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord, nor yet the work which He had done for Israel.

Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

When you dwell in My shelter I will protect you, lead you and cover you. I am your protection, your strength and shield. One of the most important tasks you are responsible for is the next generation. Keep yourself in My shelter and pray with all diligence to keep the next generation there too. Tell the stories, introduce them to Me. Keep Me in the midst of your camp so they can get to know Me for themselves. This will preserve them and the work we have done together generation after generation.

Application: What will I do about it?

#1 Keep your personal camp clean. Do this by seeking the Lord, listening to His voice and turning toward Him and away from anything He instructs you to repent of.
#2 Share the stories of the past and present about God. Continually remind the next generation of God’s grace and mercy, keep it at the forefront of the family.

Prayer:

Jesus, You faithfully lead and teach your children. Help us to dwell in Your shelter and abide in your care. Nothing is more important than this. Remind us and help us to remind ourselves and remember the strength of Your hand. The faithfulness of Your love is everlasting to those who call upon Your name and listen to Your instructions. Amen!
