Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Impossible Circumstances”

Scripture: Judges 7:2

2 The Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give Midian into their hands, for Israel would become boastful, saying, ‘My own power has delivered me.’

Observation: What is God saying to me?

It is important that I teach you trust at the deepest level of your being. When you think what you have is enough then you run the risk of being arrogant and thinking you can do this without Me. Through impossible circumstances I must show you that apart from Me there is no lasting success. When you get this lesson deep in your core, I can then trust you with more resources knowing that you will not shift your confidence from trusting in Me to trusting in yourself.

Application: What will I do about it?

No matter the circumstances we must stay grounded in the fact that apart from God there is no lasting victory. Through God anything is possible, whether it looks like it or not. If He said it or called it into action we can stand firm and rest assured that victory is ours.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for teaching us to trust from the core of our being. Today, we declare our deep trust in You. Amen!
