Title: My heavenly Ruler!

Scripture: Judges 8:23

But Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you.”

Observation: What is God saying to me?

People are always in search of earthly leadership. Like Gideon, be wise in understanding that I, the Lord, am the only Ruler. I am not a dominator, I am a Ruler. I rule with justice, mercy and true love. I will show you who I am and cause favor and blessing to flow through your life as you allow Me My rightful place. My rule is not for personal gain. I rule to lead the children I love to the destiny I have designed for them. I rule to polish and shape your character from rough and worldly to gentle and heavenly. Enjoy My leadership. I lead you because I love you. Have no fear.

Application: What will I do about it?

Each day I will point people to the Lordship of Jesus, the only rightful Ruler.
I will introduce people through doing my best to exemplify the Rulers characteristics in this world. I will point them to the Prince of Peace and do my best to show people who to walk in His ways.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, teach us Your ways. Help us to hurry to Your side each day that we would enjoy the journey of walking this life while You clear the path for us. You fight our battles, You change our plans, You allow us to partner with the Ruler of all things to bring Your kingdom into this world. I submit, repent, remember and reside at your side by Your grace. In Jesus’ name!
