Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Planted to Prosper”

Scripture: Psalm 1:2,3

How blessed is the man…
2 whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

My Word tells you that when you delight in the Lord, I will give you the desires of your heart. That is because your desires will shift from earthly, worldly desires to heavenly, hope filled desires. The world and its desires are in direct opposition to Me and what I desire. As My earthly representative, you will be called to stand for the hope of heaven and the world won’t fully receive what you stand for. Be filled with courage, if they hated Me, some will hate you too. But if you love Me and stand for My cause, many will hear and follow too. Plant yourself in My word and you will be filled, fruitful and prosperous. All of this prosperity will happen despite what the world has to say. Do not fear the world or those who chase after its ways.

Application: What will I do about it?

Stay rooted in the Bible in order to stay rooted in Christ.
Read the Bible to know Jesus and hear the Spirit's whispers.
Don’t read the Bible to know the Bible. (Know the voice of God)
Do what the Spirit shows you to do.
Say what the Spirit wants you to say.
The only way to test your hearing is to step out of your comfort zone and do something new.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, we want what You have for us. Your plans are always right and good. Our plans will most likely fail, Your plans never do. Help us hear and be obedient to what You have to say. In Jesus’ name! Amen

I Am Grateful For… the Living Word being found through the written word.
