Title: “You Have The Right”

Scripture: John 1:12,13
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
Who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (the will of God)

Observation: What is God saying to me?
He gave THE RIGHT for us to become children of God! Wow!
Sometimes it's easy to take for granted something that is so special.
Whoever receives Jesus has this right. The condition is this, when we received Jesus did we become born again??

Application: What will I do about it?
When someone is born of the Spirit, as the bible says, “born again” they receive a new mind, new will and new life. They are a new creation. One who is truly made new in the Spirit has been granted access to the things of the Spirit. They get filled with the Fruit of the Spirit… Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Gentleness, Faith, and Self Control. The only way to know if someone is truly born of the Spirit is to test them and see what comes out of them.

When you put someone to the test what’s inside comes out of them.
When you squeeze someone like a toothpaste tube, out comes what's inside. We don’t always like what comes out, but if someone is born of the Spirit then some of what comes out is the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Other things we aren’t proud of come out too… but the good fruit is still there.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for causing me to be born again. Thank you for giving me the right to be a child of God. Teach me to not take for granted the great gift of God found in Jesus. Amen!

I Am Grateful For… the right to be a child of God.
