Title: “Your True Delight”

Scripture: Psalm 37:3-4
Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

If you delight in Me you will find everything you are looking for. Searching to satisfy your own desires is a pointless way to spend your time. I am the light of the world. I know how to lead you to the delight I created for you. I am your roadmap. I am your sign that points the way. I know your deepest desires and I am able to grant you what you desire. You have already spent enough time trying to find delight in people, places and things. Today I am inviting you to the delight of your life. Delight in the One who made you and you will find everything you are looking for.

Application: What will I do about it?

Through prayer and devotion, I can center my attention on the One who created me. Not only did He create me, He also went to great lengths to rescue me from myself. Jesus died on a cross to set me free from self-service. Self service always leads to misery. When I set my trust and delight in my maker, I find everything I’ve been searching for.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I delight in You. You hold the keys to my future. You have granted me time and time again the desires of my heart as I trust in You. Today, once again, I place my trust and delight in you. I am yours, You are my delight. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
