Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Opportunity to Soar”

Scripture: Psalm 38:12-16
12 Those who seek my life lay snares for me;
And those who seek to injure me have threatened destruction,
And they devise treachery all day long.
13 But I, like a deaf man, do not hear;
And I am like a mute man who does not open his mouth.
14 Yes, I am like a man who does not hear,
And in whose mouth are no arguments.
15 For I hope in You, O Lord;
You will answer, O Lord my God.
16 For I said, “May they not rejoice over me,
Who, when my foot slips, would magnify themselves against me.”

Observation: What is God saying to me?
When your tongue slips it can cause your foot to slip. The enemy lies and waits, sets his traps, devises plans, seeks to injure and looks for ways to trip you up. He shows up in the form of people, pain, problems and puzzles.
He looks to lock you in a maze of insecurity and fear. His riddles are asking for your reply. The answer is not to answer him at all. Tune him out by tuning Me in. Arguments open more doors for accusations. Be deaf and mute to the accuser. Keep open ears and constant communication with your Creator. Expect good both now and in the future by placing all hope and confidence in Me. I will lead you through the land mines. I will walk you down this road, I will lead the way. I am teaching you to be a master tracker in a land where there are many enemies.

Application: What will I do about it?
The way to navigate the issues of life is to lean heavily into listening to the voice of God and obeying His direction. Today, like the days before this day, I am walking as a Spirit tracker, not taking bait or being distracted by the traps of the enemy.

I fix my ears and eyes, mind and heart on hearing and seeing what the Holy Spirit is saying and doing.

Prayer:
Holy Father, this moment is an opportunity to soar. No matter what the enemy says, I will be deaf to his lies and mute to his questions. I will answer through living a life of steadfast commitment to You and Your mission to disciple the world. I will let my life tell the story and the fruit of the Spirit reply for me. My hope is in You. Holy Spirit light the way. Amen.

I Am Grateful For… words spoken at the proper time.
