Title: “Ultimate Warrior”

Scripture: Psalms 55:16-18
'As for me, I shall call upon God, And the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain (cry out) and murmur, And He will hear my voice. He will redeem my soul in peace from the battle which is against me, For they are many who strive with me. '

Observation: What is God saying to me?

David, the man who chased after My heart, wrote these words. He felt the deep struggle of war against his soul. The battle David was fighting was against literal people who were seeking to destroy him. People were lying about him and doing whatever they could to take him down. Just like David, when you pursue Me, there is a war that comes against your soul. Respond like David did, cry out to Me, put your struggle on My shoulders and let Me fight for you.

Application: What will I do about it?

If you are pursuing God with all of your heart, hell will not like it and will dispatch enemies to war against your soul. Today we must turn more intently toward the Holy Spirit and cry out to God to fight the battle for us.

Prayer:
Ultimate Warrior, the battle belongs to you. You see what is taking place around us, you know the root of our struggle. Shape us into people who trust you more in the middle of the battle. Train us to trust you in the face of opposition, seen and unseen. Amen.
