Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Make Your Mind, Mind!”

Scripture: Psalm 46
1 God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge!
You’re a proven help in time of trouble—
more than enough and always available whenever I need you.
8-9 Everyone look!
He’s the one who makes conflicts end
throughout the earth,
breaking and burning every weapon of war.
10 Surrender your anxiety. 46:10 Or “Let go!” The Septuagint reads “relax.”
Be still and realize that I am God.
11 The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side!
The God of Jacob fights for us!

Observation: What is God saying to me?
Child, relax, the situation you are in is easy for Me. Do not take matters into your own hands and make decisions before I show you what to do. Do what I show you to do. I can shut down and redirect every struggle in your life. I am teaching you to rest and relax in Me. One of the greatest lessons your current situation can teach you is how to rest and relax while conflict is seeking to overwhelm you. By deciding to entrust Me with your situation, you ensure success. I am the Lord of Angel Armies and I am on your side. Stay humble before Me and rest in knowing that I am for you.

Application: What will I do about it?

By setting our minds on the Firm Foundation of Jesus we can rest and relax in the middle of struggle. Struggle will strengthen our faith if we make our minds MIND. Fixing our minds on Jesus requires mind renewal. The old mind doesn’t want to mind. The new mind doesn’t have a choice, it is subject to what we tell it to do. Through worship and the word we must enter the Holy Spirit today and set our renewed minds on Jesus.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, renew our minds today. Wash them from anxiety and fear. Fear does not belong in me, faith does! Teach my mind to mind and to stay focused on You! Amen

I Am Grateful For… a renewed mind that will trust no matter what!
