Title: “Two Will Do”

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift the other up. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Child, from the beginning of mankind I have said it is not good for man to be alone. You need relationships that are real. You need people who will lift you up when you fall. Are you willing to get real with people? Are you willing to be honest with yourself and a trusted friend? I am your closest friend who sticks closer than a brother, but I am leading you to real flesh and blood relationships that will walk with you as you walk with Me. Get your crew around you and let’s walk and talk together!

Application: What will I do about it?

We can’t trust everyone! That would be stupid. Not everyone is intended to be trusted, but positioned somewhere around your life is someone you can lean into and begin to trust on deeper levels. When you initiate this kind of relationship the Holy Spirit will initiate greater growth in you. He has strategically positioned you to be in at least one faith filled relationship. Who are these relationships to you in this season of your life?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for being my best friend. Thank you for building us to need each other. We will lean on each other as we lean and walk together with you. Please help us to learn how to live in authentic relationships. In Jesus’ Name, this is possible! Amen
