Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Grumble OR Grace?”

Scripture: Psalm 50:23
But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me.
If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.

Observation: What is God saying to me?
Sometimes you offer sacrifices I did not ask you to give. You do this because you think that it pleases and honors Me. Let Me tell you about a sacrifice that always honors Me, thankfulness and gratitude. When you complain and grumble you give place to the enemy. Complaining is to Satan with thanks and gratitude is to Me. I am honored by your thanks. Satan is honored by your complaining. Remember today, your words have the power of life and death. When you thank Me with your mouth, I will reveal to you the path you need to keep. When you show gratitude with your tongue, I will deliver you from harm, ruin and loss!

Application: What will I do about it?
Today we must watch our mouths and take intentional time to give thanks to God. Do this by speaking your praise and thanks out loud. Spoken thanks will lead to revealed grace!

Prayer:
You are good God! Thank you for looking out for us. Thank you for guiding us down a path that will lead to victory both now and for eternity. Thank you for giving us so much grace and mercy. Thank you for not giving us what we deserve but instead giving us your Son!

I Am Grateful For… Grace, Guidance and the Goodness of God
