Title: Way of Compassion

Scripture: Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do good.
Seek justice.
Help the oppressed.
Defend the cause of orphans.
Fight for the rights of widows.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

If you stick with Me I will teach you what I am looking for. I will show you what I am like and what I want you to be like. I lead you by example. My eyes are on the oppressed, the hurting and the broken. I look to care for the young who have no parents or support system and the old who have no one to care for them. Compassion for the people is the Way. Connect with Me, cling to Me and I will show you the Way of compassion, justice and truth!

Application: What will I do about it?

Hurting, broken, and lost people are all around us. God cares for those who are in pain and don’t know what to do about it. He wants us to be people who show the way of compassion to all who are hurt and in need.

Today, we must allow our hearts to connect with His heart in order that we can see the Way of compassion.

Prayer:
God of compassion, You are our teacher, the One who shows us the Way. Help us to be more like you today, Lord. We want to do what You do and be where You are. Amen!
